Branding

A Site for More Eyes

In early 2019, Kaliber Global’s website needed new energy. The existing website had been untouched for a while: It used a basic theme, was too wordy, and needed a more dedicated focus on Kaliber’s unique brands, press coverage and philanthropic pursuits. The new site also needed to serve as an appealing contact page for retailers interested in selling the company’s award-winning products.

Larger headers, fewer words, and more images were a "must," which presented a launchpad for visual storytelling. Alongside Kaliber Global’s CEO and our in-house copywriter, I worked quickly to elevate Kaliber’s brands with bold new imagery, video elements, interactive timelines and seamless navigation features.

Next-Level Engagement

With many tasks on the horizon, we had a quick turnaround of one week to tackle the refresh. I hit the ground running and proposed using the Bootstrap theme, "Boomerang" by 2theme. This base theme matched our stylistic needs and gave us a web- and mobile-ready playground to operate in (while eliminating the need for a web development overhaul).

I took point on this project, steering the initial kickoff meeting and editing the site based on wireframes I designed. Using my site map, I found ample room for engagement with a new video header to anchor the homepage, an interactive company history timeline, and four large tiles to navigate to each of Kaliber’s unique brands. The entire site was completed on time and I continue to serve as the site’s webmaster by periodically updating the career and press pages.
