Branding

Top of the Charts

In 2018, Force1 launched the original Scoot, a hands-free motion sensor drone. It was a massive hit, quickly climbing to the top of Amazon rankings and repeatedly claiming the coveted ‘Best Seller’ badge.

As lead designer, I played an integral role in this product’s launch by creating the logo, visual identity and package design. I also led marketing strategy sessions and even had a hand in naming this innovative product. Since the success of this launch, Force1 has released several more Scoot models; I’ve been at the helm in designing, naming and overseeing the launch of every one.

Building Brand Recognition

As Scoot drones soared in sales, our factory partners were quick to create new versions of this product; I saw an immediate opportunity to build on our success and proposed repackaging these new models as part of our Scoot family. This allowed us to retarget existing customers and appeal to new audiences with our established brand recognition.

This venture also allowed me to explore new interpretations of my original visual aesthetic. For the original Scoot, I used the shell of the drone as a primary graphic asset. For each new model, I returned to this visual theme for brand consistency. As for color, the new Scoot XL came in blue and black, allowing me to create a complimentary white box design. The Scoot LED featured a glowing ring of lights, which I enhanced in its visual presentation.

On top of all this, I designed the multipage manuals for the entire Scoot fleet. With every new launch, I took great care to incorporate fresh, full-color renders that clearly communicated each drone’s operational features.

E-COMM Marketing

Graphics that Converts

With every Scoot model we launched, I was the lead designer in planning our e-commerce marketing strategy. Through it all, we stayed vigilant by constantly optimizing our graphic presence to be ahead of the competition. As a result, Scoot drones rank in the Top 50 drones on Amazon, with the original Scoot consistently in the Top 3.

All images were produced by me and my creative team under my direction; these composite lifestyle images use a combination of 3D renders, stock photography and contracted photography.
